Fontainhas
It is a beautiful place in panjim. It is the oldest Latin quarter in goa which gives you a glimpse of the colourful Portuguese houses. The colours of the houses are so vibrant that you will fall in love with this place . The houses have a strong Portuguese influence in their architecture, you feel as if you're in another part of the world .The name of this place "Fontainhas" came from a natural spring during that time called 'Fonte Phoenix' or 'Fountain of Phoenix' which was a water reservoir during the time of Portuguese.
