CENTRAL LIBRARY

CENTRAL LIBRARY
One of the oldest public library in India which was established by Vice Roy Dom  Manuel  De Portugal e Castro in 1832.

It is situated near the state museum, has six floors of reading material, a book shop and a gallery. There is a children books section and internet browsing available for children.



There is also a kids audio visual hall. There are various lecture halls ,gymnasium, study room, research cubicles, conference hall, rare and Goan history books section, manuscripts section, old newspaper magazine section, microfilm browsing section, conservation laborartory, reference section , reading terrace, laptop cubicles and a Portuguese section.




A person who wants to know more about goa must visit this.
