Sao Tome Chapel

St. Thomas Chapel is a small chapel located at the corner of the road near the General post office in the Sao Tome ward. This chapel has completed 2 centuries in the year 2015 and the parishioners had celebrated the feast on 1st Feb. It is said that 200 years back the masons of Nova Goa had decided to pay their homage to their patron St. Thomas by erecting a chapel to him.

Mahalaxmi Temple

One of the capital city's most discerning asset is the Mahalaxmi Temple. It is located on the Dada Vaidya Road
The Mahalaxmi diety is the chief object of veneration for all Panjimities, irrespective of caste, class, sex or creed.

This temple is 199 years old which has a facinating history.
It was the first hindu temple allowed to be constructed in Goa after 300 years by the Portuguese since they captured Goa in 1510.
It was built on 2nd July 1818.
A lot of devotees visit the temple during Hindu festivals like Dussera amd Mahashivratri. The main festivals celebrated here are Navratri and Chaitra Purnima.




Bhagwan Mahaveer Bal Vihar

The road to panjim from Miramar runs through the campal district. It is located in Campal. It was earlier known as the Children's Park and was remained as The Bhagwan Mahaveer Bal Vihar. One can see the statue of Bhagwan  Mahaveer on the centre of the park. The garden offers a nice view of the Reis Magos fort and the boats that cruise along the Mandovi river every evening. It used to offer boat rides.....It is a very nice place to hangout with friends and family.

The Sports Authority of Goa

The Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) is an autonomous body and registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It is financed by the Government of Goa, and nurture to the needs of the Sportsperson, Associations and Clubs.

It currently owns and maintains 14 sports complexs which include Olympic size swimming pools, FIFA approved football stadiums, jogging tracks and around 98 sports grounds all over the state.

They have a vision to bring about excellence in sports at states, National ànd International level, they have been promoting and developing sports and related activities.
They've also got some "Pay & Play" Schemes such as for:
Swimming,  badminton, table tennis, weightlifting/body building, gymnastics, cricket, judo, boxing, hockey, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho etc.

Relassi is a really nice place to hang out with friends. Though I never heard about it before we unexpectedly happened to be there. As we went for for a visit to the Immaculate Conception church, we were tired and wanted to drink something. We then happened to see Relassi and thought of trying it out. We tried Cold Chocolate and we found it very refreshing.
